NSHEA Meetings and Events generally alternate between HRM and Annapolis Valley locations - so that we are accessible to as many homeschool families as possible within Board members' travel distances.

NSHEA is non-denominational and inclusive. It represents families that have a wide variety of reasons for educating their children at home and use many diverse methods to accomplish their goals.  As such, we are happy to attend a wide variety of Homeschool events.  If you are planning on hosting a Home Ed Event and would like us to attend in support please let us know :-)

Festive Fun Raffle

Each year at our 'Festive Fun at the Playbox' event, NSHEA holds a fundraising raffle for a basket of goodies generously donated from local businesses. This year, we would like to showcase businesses and hobbies from within the homeschooling community!

Anyone who would like to participate can donate an item/items, and are encouraged to include an advertisement for their business or an explanation of their hobby. We would love to include some crafts or art from the kids as well!

Tickets for the raffle will be on sale starting November 15th, and the draws will take place at the Playbox on December 13th!

All funds raised go towards helping NSHEA achieve our mission throughout the year!

If you have any questions or are able to donate, please contact a NSHEA rep, use the contact form on our home page, or email nsheaorg@gmail.com

All donators will get full credit in the basket, as well as on our website and facebook page! (Anonymous donations are also welcome).

Keep an eye out here for updates on the contents of the basket (or baskets!) as they fill up!
